JUST CAN'T BREAK AWAY FROM THE 'PINKS AND BLUES'.

DOLL AND OUTFIT SOLD!

SORRY...DOLL AND OUTFIT SOLD!

I love adding the finishing touches to these beaded outfits almost as passionately as I love crocheting them, and here is the latest outfit I finished yesterday. Just making the purse took almost the entire day, however I love the final result! I have tons of pale blue cotton thread and thought I would try using the dark beads with the pale thread as it is next to impossible to find matching dark blue thread. Somehow I love the contrast created almost more than using the same color of beads as the background as don't you think the beading shows off better?

I am now finished two rows of my next outfit however I am using a different pattern for this one. And guess what the color is?

Yes, I also have many balls of pale pink cotton, but am using some plum beads for my next outfit as again I could not find matching thread.
I LOVE PINK! When I first started collecting dolls, I planned to dress all my dolls in pink dresses of course, but it never worked that way.

Here are some of my PINK sayings:

A profusion of PINK roses bending ragged in the rain speaks to me of all gentleness and its enduring. ~The Collected Later Poems of William Carlos Williams

“The rose is a flower of love. The world has acclaimed it for centuries. PINK roses are for love hopeful and expectant. White roses are for love dead or forsaken, but the red roses, ah the red roses are for love triumphant.”

"Slow buds the PINK dawn like a rose From out night's gray and cloudy sheath; Softly and still it grows and grows, Petal by petal, leaf by leaf.” Susan Coolidge

Wow, brings back lots of memories. I loved playing Barbie and had lots of handmade clothes from my grandmother. Sadly, my sister and I gave our Barbies (we only had one each) and all of our Barbie clothes to a neighbor girl when we moved when we moved away. I still wish I had it all.

Wow, these outfits are so completely amazing, it's impossible to pick a favorite! But I have to say, seeing your newest made my heart skip a beat :-) I agree that using the light blue thread w/ dark beads is a beautiful look, such wonderful detailing...well done as always!
