JUST CAN'T BREAK AWAY FROM THE 'PINKS AND BLUES'.

DOLL AND OUTFIT SOLD!

SORRY...DOLL AND OUTFIT SOLD!

I love adding the finishing touches to these beaded outfits almost as passionately as I love crocheting them, and here is the latest outfit I finished yesterday. Just making the purse took almost the entire day, however I love the final result! I have tons of pale blue cotton thread and thought I would try using the dark beads with the pale thread as it is next to impossible to find matching dark blue thread. Somehow I love the contrast created almost more than using the same color of beads as the background as don't you think the beading shows off better?

I am now finished two rows of my next outfit however I am using a different pattern for this one. And guess what the color is?

Yes, I also have many balls of pale pink cotton, but am using some plum beads for my next outfit as again I could not find matching thread.
I LOVE PINK! When I first started collecting dolls, I planned to dress all my dolls in pink dresses of course, but it never worked that way.

Here are some of my PINK sayings:

A profusion of PINK roses bending ragged in the rain speaks to me of all gentleness and its enduring. ~The Collected Later Poems of William Carlos Williams

“The rose is a flower of love. The world has acclaimed it for centuries. PINK roses are for love hopeful and expectant. White roses are for love dead or forsaken, but the red roses, ah the red roses are for love triumphant.”

"Slow buds the PINK dawn like a rose From out night's gray and cloudy sheath; Softly and still it grows and grows, Petal by petal, leaf by leaf.” Susan Coolidge

"PINK is the color of romance and a friend tells me that the girl with the pink dress at the party is the one who is selected for each dance” - Alfred Carl Hottes

THE WAY WE SEE IT

Now what do I do next...

THE WAY WE SEE IT

The eye doctor instructed her patient to read a chart on the wall.

He Looked at it and read, "A, B, F, N, L and G."

The doctor turned the light back on and wrote in her notebook.

"How'd I do, Doc?" the patient wondered.

She replied, "Let's put it this way -- they're numbers."

"But Doc," he argued, "this is the way I see it!"

Much of my happiness or unhappiness is a result of my perception.
"This is the way I see it," I tell myself.

I see some problems as challenges that energize me to action and
others as obstacles that stop further progress. It's just the way I
see it.

And sometimes I see new situations as fun, and other times I see them
as fearful.

The busyness of my life can be OK if I see it that way, or it can be
a major source of stress. And an unexpected intrusion in my schedule
can be an irritant or, if I see it that way, possibly the most
important thing I could do that day.

Even an embarrassing mistake can be the beginning of a new learning
or an occasion to berate myself. It's in the way I see it.

One of the greatest blocks to my happiness is forgetting that it is
not always about what is happening to me -- it's more about the way I
see it.

Like Marcel Proust said,

"The real voyage of discovery lies not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes." It's in the way we see it.
